Sustainable House Day
Sustainable House Day is an annual Australian event held on the second Sunday of September, dedicated to educating the public about environmentally sustainable living and energy conservation. Established in 2001 by the Australian Solar Council, the day features tours of green homes, discussions with designers and engineers, and demonstrations of sustainable technologies. The event highlights the use of passive solar design, water recycling systems, and energy-efficient materials in Australian homes. Organised by the Alternative Energy Association and EnviroShop since 2015, it encourages widespread participation in sustainable practices.
