Sobriety Day
Sobriety Day is observed every 14 September to promote a lifestyle free from alcohol and to celebrate the achievements of those who choose sobriety. Established in 2019 by Courtney Andersen and Lori Masikot, founders of the Real Aligned Women podcast, the day is officially recognised and supported by SAMHSA. It raises awareness about addiction challenges, reduces stigma, and encourages open discussion about recovery. The event includes workshops, sober social gatherings, and educational programmes, emphasising community support and healthier living.
